The starter freewheel forms the connection between starter motor and crankshaft. The freewheel secures the components when the engine starts to run and the engine speed exceeds the starter speed.

Knartz and Knack noises during the starting process often indicate a defect of this component. Inaction can lead to a complete failure of the motor housing.

Fits all 139 QMB / QMA engines.
